Winamp Playlist Manager was originally made to read a Winamp playlist, and copy all files to a subdirectory created in the same directory as the Playlist. This was because I have a storage server with an 80gb hard-drive, and a laptop which occasionally had to be disconnected from the network. So, I used this to copy my Winamp list to my laptop. Now, with WPM, you can Strip the Tags from the playlist (incase you cause mass-changes), strip the non-existant songs from your playlist OR strip duplicates!
If you use Build 3, you can load it at startup with the commandline "-watchfile" and your default Winamp playlist will be monitored, incase any applications accidentally erase it (eg. Ares). |
